The ordering process

How do I obtain medication for my pet?

You must get a prescription from your veterinarian and send it to us (eg by mail).

You can also ask your vet to fax us the prescription for your pet at 514-694-4764 or 450-377-0300, along with your details.

We will contact you by telephone, to finalize the process and prepare the prescribed medication.

How much medication for my pet can I order at a time?

The amount may vary according to the quantity originally prescribed or the number of refills, the study of the pharmacological profile of your pet as well as the medication shelf life. However, the Bergeron & Sgro Pharmacy will send, whenever possible, enough medication for a treatment period of three to six months and one dispensing fee will be charged for this service.

What is a continuous treatment medication?

A continuous treatment medication is prescribed on a regular basis (eg taken once daily). Among them are drugs treating chronic diseases, such as diabetes, thyroid problems, osteoarthritis. Medication such as antibiotics against infection or painkillers against the acute pain are considered urgent care medicine.

Can the pharmacy also be used for emergency care medicine for my pet?

Considering the delivery of any medication takes at least two working days, it is best to get the medication for emergency care from your vet or a pharmacy near your home.
